Unfortunately we don’t have a cure yet. But we can control the condition and improve fertility via:
Regular exercise and diet control for weight loss- Eat a balanced diet that includes lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat dairy products. This supplies your body's nutritional needs, satisfies your hunger, and decreases your cravings. And a healthy diet makes you feel better and have more energy.
The following nutritional advice seems to improve fertility:
• Eat more beans, nuts and whole grains.
• Eat more whole grains.
• Have a glass of whole milk and other full-fat dairy food every day (even a small bowl of ice cream every now and then )
• Avoid trans-fats.
• Avoid sugary sodas
• Quit smoking: Women who smoke have higher levels of androgens than women who don't smoke.
Even 5% to 7% weight loss over 6 months can reduce androgen (sex hormone) levels enough to restore ovulation and fertility.
Medication: Metformin for better sugar control and Clomiphene to promote ovulation when the patient wants to conceive (which can be prescribed by your gynaecologist)
